The total number of applicants registered for the UTME in each state across the nation for 2024 has been disclosed. According to JAMB's statistics on UTME registration data for 2024, Oyo State leads the field with the most registered applicants, followed by Ogun State. There were, respectively, 114,435 and 123,636 registered candidates for each.
According to the figures, Zamfara and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja have the lowest number of registered candidates, with 9,473 and 8,020, respectively.
The data also showed that 1,005,223 female applicants and 980,419 male candidates enrolled to take the 2024 UTME. A further 2,026 candidates who identified as People Living with Disabilities (PLWDs) registered for free, increasing the total number of registrants to 1,985,642.
The JAMB exam is scheduled to begin on April 19 and run through April 29, 2024.
